Group of children at the library listening to a librarian during storytime

Class Visits and Tours

The Youth & Teen Services department offers library instruction, tours, booktalks, and opportunities for individual and group research. Please remind your students to bring their library cards for their visit so that they can check out materials and access our online resources during their visit.

Please email youthservices@lincolnwoodlibrary.org to set up a visit.

Assignment Support

Lincolnwood Library can provide the following support for homework and projects:

  • Displays of materials related to the assignment
  • Booklists for whatever topic or genre you need
  • Collaboration with your school librarian to provide additional books
  • Classroom visits
  • Help if you’re not certain what you need. Just send us your lesson plan!

School Library Cards

Lincolnwood Library provides designated library cards to Lincolnwood schools via the school librarians, who place all requests for materials with the Youth & Teen Services Department. Teachers must go through their school librarian to check out materials on these accounts. See more information about loan lengths and library cards.
