Program Details

Opioid overdoses remain a serious concern, with 487 opioid involved deaths in suburban Cook County in 2020. The University of Illinois Extension offers training on opioid use trends, overdose response, and how to administer nasal naloxone. Free naloxone will be distributed in partnership with the Cook County Department of Public Health at the conclusion of the program.
