This month we will be reading Take my Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez 

Set in 1970s Alabama, Take My Hand tells the story of a nurse who becomes entangled in a devastating violation of her young patients' rights. Her journey forces her to confront racism, medical inequity, and her own moral obligations.
