Celebrate the spirit of Kwanzaa with storyteller Elizabeth Kahura. Discover the holiday’s origins, explore its seven guiding principles, and learn the meaning behind its symbols. Enjoy an inspiring program filled with music, poetry, and the beauty of Kiswahili. In partnership with multiple area libraries.

Elizabeth Kahura, a Kenyan native in the United States since 1995, serves as a cultural ambassador for African knowledge. Over two decades, her African Safari Program has engaged more than 20,000 audience members. As a storyteller, musician, and teacher, Elizabeth educates and entertains audiences through folklore, music, language, and creative arts.
