Avoiding Identity Theft (R)

Everyday actions can leave anyone open to identity theft. The Illinois Attorney General’s Office will present tips to prevent identity theft and ways to restore your financial profile if it happens to you.   

Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s outreach team will help residents:  

• Recognize common scams and their many variations  
• Set up fraud alerts, security freezes, and opt-outs  
• Report scams and manage the situation
