About The Friends

The Friends of the  Lincolnwood Library:

• Encourage broad-based community involvement, utilization, and membership in the library. Provide volunteers and financial support to enhance and promote programming, resources, and services.

Brick-Buy-Brick Project

The friends have completed a "wall of lasting impressions" in the lobby of the library, showcasing the names of many community members, businesses, friends, and neighbors who have contributed to the library. Please stop and take a look next time you visit the library.

Friends' Events and Activities

Over the years the Friends have participated in fundraising as well as participating in events to support the activities of the library. These include but are not limited to the following:

• Used Book Sale
• Selling Entertainment Books (annual fall fundraiser)
• Membership Appreciation Event
• White Elephant Auction & Dinner
• The Summer Reading Program
• The Ethnic Fest
• Library Programs such as the Harry Potter Party and many other special programs throughout the year
