Chicago Public Librarys Foreign Language Information Center
Extensive holdings in Russian, Spanish, French, Polish, Hungarian, Italian, Czech, German, representative holdings in Slavic, Germanic, Baltic, and Romance languages.
The Center also has collections in Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Urdu, Vietnamese, and many African languages.

Translation Services

Chicago Public Librarys Foreign Language Information Center
"Depending on the language abilities of the staff,
five minutes per person may be spent on a translation over the
telephone and fifteen minutes when the patron comes to the Library.
Translation assistance is limited to one request per patron per
week." The Center also maintains a file of freelance translators.
