Based on a true story, Matthew McConaughey plays Jack Lengyel, who becomes head coach of Marshall University's rebuilding varsity football team in Huntington, West Virginia, after the school's team and coaches (and a number of others) die in a plane crash in 1970. Facing an indifferent college president ready to shut the football program down, a morose assistant coach, and a charged-up player who missed the doomed flight due to an injury, Lengyel is faced with fielding a new team and putting the players through their paces.

Join these free, weekly discussion programs to read, interpret, and discuss excerpts from selected works of literature and art. Participants examine the works of distinguished writers and artists, relating these works to their own experiences and considering issues of profound meaning. Discussion program affiliated with the Oakton Community College Emeritus Program.

Are you always the life of the party? Are you the drama queen or the ham in your family? Join our cast for a"who-done-it"production at the library August 2. Those of you who remember our fun adult theater production years ago will have another chance to be part of our one-of-a-kind cast. And of course, we welcome all community members to join the theater group this summer.
