Sanford has also been involved with various other groups in Lincolnwood including youth baseball, girls softball, and the PTA.
Dany Fields upon moving to Lincolnwood four years ago, immediately became active in the community, serving on both the Friends of the Library board and on the Lincolnwood Beautification Committee. Dany brings a wealth of experience to the board, with a background in management, media, and board and committee experience.
Bertha Gimbel has been a resident of Lincolnwood for the last 34 years. After retiring from teaching a profession she enjoyed very much -- Bertha became an active member of the community, and built an especially strong relationship with the library. She has been a Friend of the Lincolnwood Library for the last 20 years, and is currently the groups secretary. She also volunteers every Saturday at the library for the Learn to Read to Learn program, as well as teaches a knitting class every Friday afternoon.
Georgia A. Talaganis has been a Lincolnwood resident since 1984 with her husband Angelo and twin sons. As a former English teacher, and a Great Books discussion leader, she is an advocate for reading and the appreciation of books. She has taken an active role in the Village of Lincolnwood having served as the Village Clerk from 1997-2001 as well as president of the Friends of the Lincolnwood Library. She feels that the library is a community gem that everyone should be proud of.
