The Duncan Lawrie Dagger

Formerly the Gold Dagger for Fiction is the largest award for crime fiction in the world with a prize of £20,000. Awarded by the British Crime Writers’ Association.


The Duncan Lawrie International Dagger

Awarded for the best crime novel translated into English by the British Crime Writers’ Association


Edgar Allan Poe Awards

Awarded by the Mystery Writers of America, the premier organization for mystery writers.


Ellis Peters Historical Crime Award

A prestigious prize for the best historical crime novel awarded by the British Crime Writers’ Association.


Gumshoe Awards

Mystery Ink's Gumshoe Awards, presented annually since 2002, are given each year to recognize the best European crime fiction published in the United States.


Nero Award

The "Nero" is an annual award presented to an author for literary excellence in the mystery genre. The award is presented at the Black Orchid Banquet, which is traditionally held on the first Saturday in December in New York City. Past winners of the award include Fred Harris, Martha Grimes, Dennis Lehane, and Sharyn McCrumb.
